Source Code & Ownership Policy

Intellectual property rights and ownership of the final deliverables are transferred from Global IT Solutions to the client only upon specific conditions.

• Full payment of all project-related invoices is mandatory for ownership transfer.
• Transfer includes the final compiled code, design assets, and database structures.
• A formal 'Letter of Intellectual Property Transfer' can be provided upon request after final payment.

Projects that have not been fully paid for remain the exclusive property of Global IT Solutions.

• We reserve the right to suspend access to unpaid software or websites.
• Use of our code or designs without full payment is a violation of international copyright laws.
• We may reuse components of unpaid projects for other clients or internal purposes.

Global IT Solutions utilizes proprietary frameworks, libraries, and base code to accelerate development. These elements remain our property.

• Clients are granted a perpetual, non-exclusive license to use our proprietary code within the context of the delivered project.
• Our proprietary code may not be resold, redistributed, or used in other projects without our written consent.
• Open-source libraries used in the project are governed by their respective licenses (e.g., MIT, GPL).

Many projects involve third-party licenses for themes, plugins, or APIs.

• License ownership depends on the procurement method (Client-purchased vs. Agency-purchased).
• We recommend clients purchase their own licenses for long-term independence.
• We are not responsible for the future updates or functionality of third-party assets.

Upon final payment, we provide the project in the agreed-upon formats.

• Websites: Access to the Git repository or a compressed file archive.
• Designs: Original Figma or Adobe Creative Cloud files (if specified in scope).
• Documentation: Technical documentation and user manuals.
